Pretty sure my belly dropped

Supposedly this happens 2-4 weeks before delivery. Not sure exactly when it happened but I have definitely been feeling different over the past week. My guess is she WILL be on time - despite what my mother says! ;-)

And this is the actual picture, taken today.. I just think it's a great picture of me and John.

33 weeks

I had an appointment yesterday and everything is looking great. I'm measuring at 33.5 weeks which is exactly where I am in the pregnancy. The doctor said based on all my appointments so far, my baby will not be 'excessively large' and should be able to be delivered with no problem. I'm hoping for a healthy but easy-to-be-delivered 7 pounder haha...

I can tell Baby Girl is getting bigger and stronger based on her movements. No more cute little kicks, just lots of rolling around and the occasional big JAB. I can put my hand on my belly and feel her head, or butt, or elbow.. whatever it is that's pushing my insides out! One day I will make a video of the movements so you can see crazy alien baby for yourself. :-) She also kicks me up high in the ribs and sometimes I can feel her foot and try to push it back down haha..

We had the hospital tour today and it was very informative. The rooms are really nice and I'm sure I will be comfortable there. I love their general policies (although I'm sad my nephews won't be allowed into the room to visit). I will go into detail a little more as it gets closer to the due date and let you know visiting hours, our preferences ('our' = me and John), etc.

A few days ago I decided it was time for a new belly shot.. here's the proof that Baby Girl is certainly getting bigger! (Please excuse the lack of makeup). I will do more belly pics over the next 7-ish weeks as she is growing at a very rapid pace now! (According to my baby books, she is about 4 1/2 pounds by now!)

Father's Day Poem For John

I came across this poem.. if you have a husband and a daughter you must share this poem with him.

Remember you're her daddy
when she's crying late at night,
when she needs a little loving
to know that it's alright.
Remember you're her daddy
when dolly's lost an arm,
when you take the time to fix it
because you can't resist her charm.
Remember you're her daddy
when she's had a real rough day,
when school's been pretty tough on her
and nothings went her way.
Remember you're her daddy
when she goes on her first date,
when you tell her to be in by ten
and she's not home 'till late.
Remember you're her daddy
when she makes you very proud,
when in a very awkward way
she stands out in a crowd.
Remember you're her daddy
the first man she's ever kissed,
and when you go away
you'll be very, very, missed.
Remember you're her daddy
remember I'm your wife,
we know that you'll love us
for the rest of your life.
