Here are some pictures taken yesterday- normally I hate naked belly shots, but I felt like it doesn't look like there's a difference between 14 weeks and 18 weeks when I have that coral shirt on. I think my 14 week photo makes me look way bigger than I actually was for some reason. I guess I had a lot to eat that day! I still don't totally look pregnant, especially to strangers, but there is definitely a small bump there. I am too big for regular shirts, but maternity shirts still kind of hang on me.
Baby V. has been doing a lot of growing over the past few weeks... he/she has even started moving around enough for me to feel the movements on occasion. It's a weird feeling, but I always welcome it because it lets me know the baby is still alive and well.
Since I last wrote, we've done a few fun and interesting things - went to the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Morristown, saw West Side Story in the city (which was amazing!) and I have also been the victim of the worst haircut of my life. It was the first time I ever shed tears over a haircut.. I can't tell if it really upsets me that much, or if my pregnancy hormones are just in full effect.. either way it is going to take a while to grow back out, and I think I've decided to stick with long hair after this! Some hairstylists get scissor happy!
Anyway, the best news is that we got our crib and changing table! We weren't expecting to have the crib so early - we went to the store expecting to have to order it and wait a while for it to come in. But the one we wanted was discontinued so we were able to get the floor model for a discount. We really got a great deal! (Well.. Mom did anyway.. thanks Mom!)
MARK YOUR CALENDARS!! April 17th is the BIG DAY - the day we find out whether to think pink or blue!! I am guessing it's a 'she' but I'm still not totally confident in my 'mother's intuition'.. hey I have a 50/50 shot of being right! Any guesses?? I can't believe we will know in less than two weeks. Hopefully the baby will give us a good shot and not be too shy...
Here is a sneak peak of the crib and changing table.. obviously we still have some work to do to really make the room look like a nursery.
